It’s true…

January 19, 2010

I BOUGHT MY FAME DVD LAST WEEK! [; It’s also in blu-ray. Can you believe it? I’m like the biggest fan of this movie. The first day I got the dvd, I watched the extended version. I was a bit curious because there were no other selections other than “Theatrical Version” and “Extended Version”. A few days after I watched it, I tried to see if there were any other selection… this time I waited for the “slideshow”, but little did I know the special features weren’t there. I gave up, then I pressed “Extended Version”. I noticed this link that says “extras”, and I clicked that one. Little did I know it says “Deleted Scenes”. I was screaming at the top of my lungs when I saw them.

Jenny Leaves Home = Jenny and her mom, Ann Marie Lee, say their goodbyes.

Denise and her parents = Denise practicing piano with her parents. And she get pushed over by her dad, which made her kind of mad.

Rosie and Victor in stairwell = Victor and Rosie goes to school fighting about the instruments they have to carry. Victor compliments his cousin, Rosie, that she is the best dancer. And Rosie denies it and said she has nothing to worry about him.

Joy rebuffed by Malik = Joy introduces herself to Malik being all random and talkative. Joy asked what does his name, Malik, means in African and he said ‘Leave me alone’.Β  And Joy ended up saying ‘hakuna matata to you too’ .

More audition flava – Neil interviews Kevin = Neil asked Kevin what was his name and what does he do. At the end, Neil says “break a leg”.

Kraft’s first audition = Honestly, I haven’t seen this scene yet. HAHAHA.

Neil interviews Jenny = After seeing Victor’s audition, Jenny’s confidence was shaken. Neil saw her, and said “Are you nervous knowing you might not make it?”

Marco comforts Jenny = Jenny told Marco that she was the best actress at her old school, and asked him ‘how do you know if you’re good enough?’ Marco ended up saying , ‘just relax’.

Jenny and dad gets letter = Dad told Jenny she already have her first sent letter…. and it was at the performing arts school! Something tells me she got it [;

Neil, Joy, and Kevin at Times Square = The three were talking about theater, and how it changes every night. Kevin jumps out and said ‘Yeah kinda like sex.’ And the three were just talking about that. I find it awkward.

Neil’s monologue – Dowd pushes Malik = Neil did this monologue with a funny voice. xD And Mr. Dowd asked this really insensitive question to Malik. Malik responded saying, “What do you want from me?”

Joy on YouTube – Calls Neil = When Joy’s sister showed her ‘Drunk Video’ in YouTube, Joy called Neil asking why he posted it.

Joy goes to audition = Opening the door at the audition, Joy gets intimidated seeing all the girls that looked like her.

Neil looking for actresses in his film = Joy saw his ad and asked him what role does she play. When Neil was about to answer, he got distracted by ‘beautiful’ girls.

Rosie comforts Victor = Rosie tries to comfort her cousin, Victor, after he got his heartbroken by Alice.

FAME DVD updates. :D

December 5, 2009

Hello! As you all know(or not), the FAME DVD comes out January 12th, 2010! Me, the biggest super fan, will definitely buy the DVD &+ Blu-Ray! The DVD contains 15 deleted scenes, music video, and an EXTENDED DANCE EDITION! When I first found out it had 15 deleted scenes, I was not surprise at all; actually, this film does not suck(to all the bashers), the Director, Mr. Kevin Tancharoen just forgot he’s suppose to develop TEN characters. He probably was having a little bit trouble editing it – but this is his first film to direct, so give the guy a break. But I am still excited to buy it! Pre-order yours now! CLICK FOR PRE-ORDER!

Admiring FAME;

November 10, 2009

Hey guys, sorry I have not been updating this site – I’ve been busy with school and all those boring stuff! But guess what? FAME is scoring total fame-ous points ever since it hit the theaters! I wished they still have FAME in theaters so I can see it again in the big screen, but sadly yesterday was believed the last day that FAME was in theaters(Sources: Paul McGill’s twitter). LOVED THE MOVIE! My friends and I were talking about it nonstop(well I always bring subject up, SO.)! Warning: This Blog may contain spoilers to those who haven’t seen the movie yet. One scene that had me dying in my seat was Joy(Anna Maria Perez de Tagle)’s rap “drunk” scene! Oh, it was hilarious! Considering myself the biggest fan of Anna Maria, she was wonderful in the film… I was hoping for more edgy and challenging scenes with her, but it was all good! Another character that had me screaming at the top of my lungs was Marco(Asher Book)…he won my heart, just serenading Jenny(Kay Panabaker) the song “Try”. πŸ™‚ Two other boys that did a magnificent job in the film was Paul McGill & Paul Iacono… boy, did I enjoyed their characters! I just wished that they had more scenes in the movie! Kherington Payne played an excellent dancer, but there wasn’t enough scenes of her that will make everyone appreciate what she does! Kristy Flores was gone throughout the film; except for Freshman Year and I believe Senior Year? I was hoping for more of her character about dancing and acting. Here goes the big major parts: Collins Pennie as Malik = he played this character so straight up and REAL! His character, I’m not gonna lie, made me cry. But in the end, I was totally surprised when he smiled and his mom was there sitting in the audience watching Malik graduate and achieving his goal. Naturi Naughton as Denise = she’s a great singer, I SWEAR! Her character had me yelling for MORE songs! This character was perfect for her… I could not think of anyone who has that voice and the stage presence that she has – Naturi you are the greatest! Kay Panabaker as Jenny & Walter Perez as Victor were all very talented in the film! I really think that Jenny was a little too underdog and quiet for her to be able to succeed – but I guess she proved me wrong. I felt bad about Victor… you know? Alice leaving Victor for her world tour!

  • I almost died when Kevin(Paul McGill) almost fell or attempted to commit suicide, that part was so intense.
  • Karaoke bar scene with Mrs. Rowan(Megan Mullaly) and Mr. Cranston(Kelsey Grammer) taking a bunch of students to sing live in front of strangers… Joy(Anna Maria Perez de Tagle) and Marco(Asher Book) sang “Tub Thumping”, great song, aye? πŸ˜‰ Neil(Paul Iacono) sang “One Week” by Barenaked Ladies; I haven’t heard this song for years! Last but not least, Kevin was supposed to sing, but he “ambushed” Mrs. Rowan who sang “You Took Advantage of Me”.
  • I loved Jenny(Kay Panabaker) and Marco’s “date” scene. The song made me have goosebumps (;
  • The “HALLOWEEN CARN-EVIL” scene was the bomb! Rosie(Kristy Flores)’s introduction was the best in that scene! I loved her costume!
  • Alice(Kherington Payne) and other dancers danced to the song “Black And Gold” while Kevin has to have his heartbroken D:
  • When Denise(Naturi Naughton), Malik(Collins Pennie), & Victor(Walter Perez) performed “Get On The Floor”. That song really put me on the floor (;
  • Joy(Anna Maria Perez de Tagle)‘s rap “drunk” scene for Neil’s student films. HILARIOUS!
  • Joy talks to Principal Simms and Malik talks to Mr. Dowd.

Wait, now I have to stop; because if I keep on going, I might just retell the WHOLE movie, that’s bad! LOL.

This movie was the greatest musical I have ever seen! Nothing against to Step Up, HSM, Camp Rock, Grease, and many more, but I really think this musical had it ALL! It shows that not everyone gets to be famous, and talent doesn’t come out of your system overnight. I thought it was gonnaΒ  beΒ  more than I expected, but it really inspired me and I gave 2 thumbs up! I can’t wait until the DVD releases… I am guessing there ARE director’s cuts in the film & behind the scenes footage. But other than that, this movie set the stage on how musicals should be! FAME, YOU’RE GONNA LIVE FOREVER! BABY REMEMBER IT!

September 29, 2009

I have found an awesome picture surfing the web….. this picture is when they filmed the Karaoke Bar scene; AWESOME SCENE! (; And the movie is amazing. A lot of movie critics are putting their thumbs UP! YAY! Box Office Hit – 3rd place. (: I think FAME deserves more than that! right guys? RIGHT! As you may have heard…

September 25, 2009

Yesterday was the FAME Premiere at The Grove. Wow! πŸ™‚ Oh, I wish I could have came but school and all those types of work are really getting on my back – but here FAME; FAME always make me feel a whole lot better πŸ™‚ AND tomorrow….. this is it guys… FAME comes out TOMORROW! I won’t be seeing it on the first day – because it’s better if you come see it a lil bit later so it won’t be hard packed! But I already saw the first five minutes of FAME, and OMFG it just blew me away! Haha. I now definitely can’t wait for it to come out! SUNDAY, I believe I will watch the movie, and be a critic (; But no doubt – I will treasure this movie FOREVER! My friends and I are talking about this just a few hours ago; my friend Alyssa who aren’t really familiar with all the lyrics of the song FAME – she asked my friend Maureen what this phrase meant “I’m gonna make it to heaven – light up the sky like a flame” my friend said this “It meant that all the beautiful things are in heaven and that they want everyone to remember their name even if they’re gone,” aha. oh my gosh, my friends and I are really weird (; But anyways, the good thing about this while we are waiting(well, this isn’t really a good thing because we’ll want more!) is that I found this awesome first five minutes of the movie! I screamed at the top of my lungs when I watched it. REALLY. SERIOUSLY! HAAAAAH! LOL. here is the link:

Are you excited to see FAME? and the cast itself? well, come down to the grove tomorrow in LA – wish i could come, i just live here in SO CAL, LOL. I’m so excited and overjoyed for the cast! I’m pretty sure they’re going to have fun tomorrow! I believe the whole cast will be there except for our JOY in the movie, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle; she’s currently filming CR2 in Canada, but yes I was pretty sad not all of the cast will be there 😦 And I’m gonna admit, I LOVE ANNA MARIA! Hope she’ll have fun away from her FAME-ily. But anyways, enough with Anna Maria, special performances of V Factory, Collins Pennie, and Naturi Naughton – so check it out ya’ll! And check out the movie this friday! Xoxo. your girl, rebecca (;

FAME stars Paul Iacono and Walter Perez meet up with Sebastian(this kid impressed me with all the questions he asked) at Planet Hollywood. And boy did Paul Iacono blew me away with some impression of Frank Sinatra. Walter Perez has a cute smile. xD here’s the video, enjoy πŸ™‚
